The National Football League asked Cultivator Content Labs to produce a series of visual experiences celebrating the city of Houston, Texas and Super Bowl 51.

 

We employed drones, robotic time-lapse technology, and our unique car-mounted camera trickery to capture the city from every conceivable perspective. The finished segments were used in the Super Bowl Experience, the Fan Zone and re-purposed for network broadcast.

Project Insights

The challenge was to capture the architectural diversity of a city which is, for many, a cultural anomaly. To our surprise, Houston is filled with incredible textures and architectural masterpieces. From the San Jacinto Monument, to the 1500 Louisiana St. Tower, Houston is a thriving metropolis which has retained much of its old-west charm.
